By: Jeffrey C. Tiangco A MILITANT youth group yesterday slammed the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for its alleged failure to stop the yearly tuition hike. KABATAAN Representative Raymond “Mong” Palatino accused CHED of failing to regulate tuition as the House tackled the agency’s proposed 2010 budget. Palatino lamented that higher education institutions impose higher tuition rates year after year. CHED data show that the average tuition rate per unit in schools went up from P312.80 in 2002 to P416.57 in 2008....
